Guide: Omni'Nettoyant

The Omni'Nettoyant is a Sapphire Medal D'or leather cleaner shampoo, especially optimized for suede, nubuck and textiles. However, as demonstrated today, it can also be used on calf leather. When cleaning leather, it is crucial to start by brushing the surface free of rough dirt. Use a horsehair brush that gently removes particles from the leather. This removes grime that potentially can damage the surface. Prepare the Omni'Nettoyant by pouring it into a cup with water. Stir it together and the product is ready to use. When applying it, the spatula brush that is included in the package works perfectly.

Lather the shampoo up and cover the entire shoe. Using the small spatula brush allows you to reach areas that are difficult to access otherwise. When you have completed this stage, rinse the shoe under water, removing the lather completely. You can repeat this process if further cleaning is required.

Afterwards, the shoes are left to dry with shoe trees inside. Shoe Trees are very important as the shoe has been soaked in water. Not using shoetrees may result in a deformation of the leather when it dries.

If the treatment is performed on suede leather, use a suede brush to gently rug the surface to restore it's texture and prepare it for further treatment.

Polishing the Shoe is Important after using Omni'Nettoyant

Note that this should be followed by a Renovatuer (spray if suede) treatment that re-nourishes the leather and prevents dryness. Complete this process by using Shoe polish (spray Super Invulver if suede), which creates an elegant finish on the surface.
